Egyptian attacker Mohamed Salah says that he wants to stay at Liverpool "for a long time".

Mohamed Salah has claimed that he wants to stay at Liverpool "for a long time" after helping the club win their maiden Premier League title.

The 28-year-old has once again been in impressive form for the Reds during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 21 times and providing 10 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions.

There have been suggestions that the Egypt international could look to leave Anfield in the near future despite the fact that he has a contract with the European champions until June 2023.

However, Salah has revealed that he is "very happy" with Jurgen Klopp's side and is determined to help them pick up more trophies in the coming years.

"I'm very happy... I can't describe my feelings after we won the league after 30 years," Salah told BeIN Sport. "I can see people's joy and this is so important for all of us. I enjoy the atmosphere here... I love this place and I hope to stay for a long time.

"The atmosphere here is different to any other place. We have adapted well as a team and our understanding is perfect. If this continues, we can achieve more. It's difficult to maintain our current level, but it's not impossible."

Salah has scored 92 times in 145 appearances for Liverpool since arriving from Roma in July 2017.
