Lazar Markovic's Liverpool medical 'delayed' ahead of £20m move

Markovic's Liverpool medical 'delayed'

Benfica winger Lazar Markovic will reportedly have to wait to undergo a medical with Liverpool, despite originally planning to have tests on Thursday.

The Serbian international has been widely tipped to move to Anfield following reports that the Reds have agreed a fee in the region of £20m with the Portuguese club.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the 20-year-old was expected to have a medical in Merseyside today, but due to 'logistical issues', it is likely to be pushed back until Friday or Saturday.

Belgium teen forward Divock Origi is also expected to move to Liverpool after he was spotted arriving at the club's Melwood training ground earlier this week.

Should the pair complete their proposed transfers, they will be the fourth and fifth signings made by Liverpool this summer so far following the arrivals of Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can.
