Liverpool 'want Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Muniain'

Liverpool have reportedly submitted an offer for Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Muniain, who is due to become a free agent at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has spent his entire career at San Mames, making over 350 appearances and scoring 51 goals.

According to Spanish outlet, Marca, however, the Pamplona native could be tempted by a move to Anfield in early 2019.

Muniain is out of contract in seven months, but Liverpool have supposedly made an offer to prise the one-cap Spain international away from Athletic before then.

Having been a regular starter for Los Leones since the age of 16, though, it is claimed that Muniain will only depart when the time is right.
