Liverpool want Atalanta BC playmaker Alejandro Gomez?

Atalanta BC playmaker Alejandro Gomez is reportedly the latest player to have been added to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's transfer wishlist.

The Argentina international has a combined 15 goals and assists in all competitions for La Dea this term, 10 of which have come in Serie A.

Liverpool have targeted Gomez as a possible replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who finally got his big-money move to Barcelona this week, but the Reds face a huge task landing the 29-year-old.

Atalanta president Antonio Percassi has already ruled out a sale, and Tuttosport suggests that the Italian outfit are confident of keeping hold of the attacking talent unless a big bid is made.

Gomez is not the only player to have been linked with a move to Liverpool this month, as Monaco's Thomas Lemar and Leon Goretzka of Schalke 04 are also understood to be on their radar.
