Liverpool target Derby County's Will Hughes?

Brendan Rodgers is readying a £15m summer offer for Derby County's young midfielder Will Hughes, according to reports.

The 19-year-old was linked with a move to Anfield last summer, but elected to remain at the iPro Stadium, where he signed a new four-year contract.

However, with Derby's push for promotion to the Premier League faltering in recent weeks, Rodgers is ready to reignite his interest in the England Under-21 international, reports the Daily Star.

Should Steve McClaren fail to lead the Rams to promotion this season, a £15m offer would apparently be enough to tempt the Midlands club into selling.

Hughes, who has 13 caps for England's Under-21 side, broke into the Derby first team in 2011 and has since made over 100 appearances for the club.
