Liverpool plot Denis Cheryshev swoop?

Liverpool have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev.

The Russian international spent last season on loan at Villarreal and produced a number of impressive displays to help the club to finish sixth in the La Liga table.

According to AS, Liverpool are preparing to table an offer between €15m (£10.91m) and €20m (£14.55m) for his services, as they look for a potential replacement for Raheem Sterling.

Cheryshev scored seven goals for Villarreal during his loan at the club.
