Newcastle's Jose Enrique close to Liverpool move

Newcastle left-back Jose Enrique is closing in on a move to Liverpool after the two clubs agreed a fee.

The Spaniard, who has been vocal about his desire to leave Newcastle this summer, is expected to join the Reds for a fee of £6m, according to Sky Sports News.

The 25-year-old has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs. However, the North West side are the front-runners to land the defender.

Enrique is expected to travel up to Melwood to complete a medical in the next few days.
