Liverpool 'accept Stoke City bid for Joe Allen'

Liverpool reportedly accept a bid of £13m from Stoke City for Joe Allen.

Liverpool have reportedly accepted a £13m bid from Stoke City for midfielder Joe Allen.

The 26-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract with the Reds and had previously expressed a desire to have his future resolved this summer after making just eight starts in the league last season.

According to PA, Liverpool have now accepted Stoke's offer after also receiving interest from Allen's former club Swansea City.

Allen is currently on holiday after playing a key role in Wales's Euro 2016 campaign, which saw him named in the team of the tournament.

During his four seasons with Liverpool, Allen made 91 league appearances, scoring four times and registering three assists.
