Isak 'pictured' arriving for Liverpool medical ahead of record transfer

Liverpool-bound striker Alexander Isak has apparently been pictured arriving for his Reds medical ahead of his record-breaking move from Newcastle United.

The most gripping saga of the summer window is finally nearing an end, as the Premier League champions are understood to have agreed an unprecedented £130m deal to sign the Sweden international on deadline day.

Isak will become the most expensive player in the history of Liverpool and the Premier League, having seen his desperate attempts to engineer an exit from St James' Park bear fruit.

The former Real Sociedad striker has now supposedly been 'pictured' turning up to the AXA Training Centre for his medical, as captured by Anfield Edition.

A handful of fans were stationed outside the Reds' training ground hoping to catch a glimpse of Isak, whose vehicle was flanked by a security guard before he entered the building.

Unless there are any unforeseen complications in Isak's medical, the Scandinavian striker should be announced as Arne Slot's newest recruit later today, as he departs Newcastle following three years of service.

Isak struck 62 goals and provided 11 assists in 109 appearances for the Magpies in all competitions, but he has no doubt burned bridges with the St James' Park faithful owing to the manner of his exit.
