Reported Liverpool target Inaki Williams pens new Athletic Bilbao deal

Spanish forward Inaki Williams signs a new five-and-a-half-year contract with a €50m (£38m) release clause at Athletic Bilbao.

Spain Under-21 international Inaki Williams has signed a new five-and-a-half year contract with Athletic Bilbao.

Williams, 21, has distanced himself from a move away either this month or in the summer by signing the fresh deal with the Basque club, extending his stint by four years.

Athletic openly said on their website that the new release clause for any club wanting to sign the forward is €50m (£38m).

Liverpool have recently been linked with a move for Williams, who has scored 10 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions this term after breaking into the Bilbao first team last season.ID:264758: cacheID:264758:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:1654:
