Man City 'unlikely to meet Liverpool's £50m valuation for Raheem Sterling'

City 'unlikely to pay £50m for Sterling'

Manchester City are reportedly unlikely to table Liverpool's asking price of £50m for Raheem Sterling, despite speculation suggesting otherwise.

The former Premier League champions have already had two bids rejected by the Reds for Sterling, who has decided against signing a new contract at Anfield.

There were suggestions that City would meet the £50m valuation in the coming weeks, but according to the Manchester Evening News, a third offer is not yet being prepared.

Yesterday, the England international missed training due to an illness following reports that he has refused to go on Liverpool's pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.
