Daniel Agger has conceded that his fellow Dane Christian Eriksen is the type of player that Liverpool "need" to recruit in the summer.
The Ajax midfielder revealed recently that his club were in the process of discussing a transfer fee for his services with German outfit Borussia Dortmund.
However, Liverpool centre-back Agger is hoping that his team can make a late move for the 21-year-old.
"We want to play attacking football with the ball on the ground and that is exactly what Christian Eriksen is all about. That is the kind of player we need," he told Jyllands-Posten.
Eriksen came through the youth ranks at Ajax.
