Liverpool injury, suspension list and return dates vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers: Alexander Isak, Conor Bradley latest

Keen to build on their improved results in the Premier League, defending champions Liverpool will welcome relegation favourites Wolverhampton Wanderers to Anfield on Saturday.

Arne Slot's side came out on top in a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday, though their performance against Thomas Frank's nine men was less than convincing.

To make matters worse, British record signing Alexander Isak suffered a major injury that required surgery, while right-back Conor Bradley was also forced off with an issue in the first half.

Additionally, key midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai passed the threshold for suspension after he was booked for the fifth time this season, and it remains to be seen how the manager will fill the gaps in his XI, especially with Mohamed Salah away at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The club do not expect Leoni to be back in action this season.

ALEXANDER ISAK

Possible return date: March 21 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion)

Isak suffered a complex lower-leg injury in the process of scoring against Tottenham, when he was taken out by Micky van de Ven.

After undergoing successful surgery, the timescale for the £125m striker's return is months rather than weeks.

CONOR BRADLEY

Status: Major doubt

Type of injury: Ankle

Possible return date: December 27 (vs. Wolves)

Injury-prone right-back Bradley was forced off with an injury during the first half of the game against Spurs, adding to the Reds' growing injury list.

Slot mentioned in his press-conference that the 22-year-old has a "50-50" chance of making the squad this weekend, and he faces a late fitness test.

JOE GOMEZ

Status: Out

Type of injury: Muscle

Possible return date: January 4 (vs. Fulham)

Hampered by injuries over the years, Gomez's latest setback occurred when he was forced off with a muscle injury against Brighton on December 13.

Slot has confirmed that the Englishman will miss this contest, leaving Liverpool short at the back.

WATARU ENDO

Possible return date: January 4 (vs. Fulham)

Wataru Endo was unfortunate enough to pick up an ankle injury during a rare appearance against Leeds United on December 6.

The Japan captain has been ruled out of this weekend's clash by the Liverpool manager, though he could return in early January.

One of the first names on Slot's team sheet, Gakpo has not featured since he suffered a muscular injury against Leeds earlier this month.

However, his issue is not as severe as initially believed, and the Dutchman faces a late fitness test ahead of Saturday, similarly to Bradley.
