Mohamed Salah starts for Liverpool against Stoke City in Saturday's Premier League clash, but Sadio Mane does not feature in Jurgen Klopp's 18-man squad.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has handed a start to Mohamed Salah for Saturday's Premier League fixture with Stoke City, but Sadio Mane is absent from the 18-man squad.

Klopp had the option of resting many of his star men ahead of Wednesday's Champions League fixture with Roma but Salah - as well as Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino - all start against the Potters.

However, Mane misses out with 'a minor injury', with Klopp opting to hand another start to Danny Ings.

Joe Gomez and Ragnar Klavan have also been restored to the first XI, with Liverpool likely to line up with a back three against the relegation-threatened visitors.

Stoke manager Paul Lambert has made just the one alteration to the team which began the 1-1 draw with Burnley as Kurt Zouma comes in for the injured Glen Johnson.

Peter Crouch lines up against his former club, with Xherdan Shaqiri and Mame Biram Diouf being used in support.

Liverpool: Karius; Gomez, Van Dijk, Klavan; Alexander-Arnold, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Moreno; Salah, Firmino, Ings
Subs: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Robertson, Milner, Woodburn, Solanke

Stoke City: Butland; Zouma, Shawcross, Martins Indi, Pieters; Bauer, Allen, N'Diaye, Shaqiri, Diouf; Crouch
Subs: Haugaard, Ireland, Adam, Cameron, Fletcher, Ramadan, Campbell
