Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana makes his first start of the season as Liverpool travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley.

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana will make his first start of the season as the Reds travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley on New Year's Day.

Lallana has only featured from the bench for Jurgen Klopp's side after suffering injury ahead of the campaign, but he replaces Philippe Coutinho in midfield today.

Simon Mignolet is back in the Liverpool goal, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ragnar Klavan are brought into the starting lineup.

Up front, Sadio Mane is partnered by Dominic Solanke as the Reds look to consolidate their spot in the Premier League's top four.

For Burnley, Nick Pope continues in goal, while Scott Arfield and Jack Cork feature in a midfield five selected by Clarets boss Sean Dyche.

Ashley Barnes is selected up front as Burnley look to continue their impressive campaign.
