Kolo Toure: 'Liverpool can win the Premier League'

Kolo Toure says that Liverpool have a chance of winning the Premier League if they continue to work hard.

Kolo Toure believes that Liverpool are good enough to win the Premier League this season, as long as they keep "working and fighting for each other".

The Reds are five points behind leaders Arsenal, while Chelsea are third on goal difference.

Toure, who signed for the club in the summer, says that the unpredictable nature of the season so far means that the title race is wide open.

"We want to be up there but the season is long. If we keep working and fighting for each other, anything can happen," Toure told The Metro.

"The league is very open right now. Even Manchester United, who are far behind, have experience and are dangerous, and Jose Mourinho is doing very well at Chelsea too."

Toure also believes that playing alongside the likes of Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez is helping him to improve as a player.

He added: "We have a great group of players but Suarez is an amazing player, very clever, he's a warrior.

"He's got everything. He is so hard to play in training and training alongside him every day can only make me a better player."

Liverpool face Tottenham Hotspur away on Sunday.
