Kolo Toure 'confident of being fit for Liverpool's clash against Swansea City'

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure is reportedly confident that he will be fit to play in the Reds' Premier League match against Swansea City next Monday.

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure is reportedly confident that he will return to fitness in time for his side's Premier League encounter with Swansea City next Monday.

The Ivorian has been out of action since suffering a groin injury during the Reds' 4-2 win over Notts County in the League Cup on August 27.

The former Manchester City defender was replaced by Martin Skrtel in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Manchester United, but Toure expects to be in contention to start at the Liberty Stadium next week, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that on-loan defender Aly Cissokho remains sidelined with an ankle injury, while there are fears that Glen Johnson could be out of action for 10 weeks.

While manager Brendan Rodgers has some injury woes to deal with, it is understood that striker Daniel Sturridge could be fit for the match.
