Arrigo Sacchi: "Balotelli is not a player"

Mario Balotelli is "not a player" according to former AC Milan manager Arrigo Sachhi.

Former AC Milan manager Arrigo Sacchi has slammed Liverpool star Mario Balotelli, insisting that the Italian striker's lack of teamwork is a problem.

The 24-year-old joined Liverpool in the summer for £16m as a replacement for Luis Suarez, who made a £75m switch to Barcelona, but Sacchi has not been impressed by the ex-Milan striker's performances in England.

"Balotelli is not a player, because a player moves as part of a team. He's just a footballer," Sacchi told reporters.

Balotelli scored 26 goals in 43 games for Milan, but has found the net just twice in 17 appearances for Liverpool this season.
