Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers urges Luis Suarez to control his emotions

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists that striker Luis Suarez needs to be more "careful" after picking up three yellow cards so far this season.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has called on striker Luis Suarez to control his actions on the pitch after picking up three yellow cards so far this season.

The Uruguay international was booked for diving during the Reds' 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Saturday but Rodgers has insisted that the frontman is a "pleasure" to coach.

"You are always trying to educate players and talk to them," Sky Sports News quotes Rodgers as saying. "That is part of what makes him and he is on to three now so he'll have to be careful.

"I have no complaints, I read from the outside all these reports about Luis Suarez, but he has been an absolute pleasure to work with from the first day I came in here and he is a good guy who works very hard every day and gets his rewards on the field. He is an emotional guy, he runs on emotion, as some players do."

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that the Merseyside club will hold talks with Manchester United in order to discuss the issue of fans' behaviour ahead of the pair's clash at Anfield this weekend.
