Rene Meulensteen: 'Liverpool can win title'

Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen believes that Liverpool have a chance of winning the Premier League title this season.

Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen has claimed that Liverpool could win the Premier League title this season.

The Merseysiders, who are seven points off leaders Chelsea, continue their campaign at Craven Cottage tonight.

Despite branding them as "dark horses", Meulensteen believes that Brendan Rodgers's side have a chance of finishing at the top of the standings.

"They've had an excellent season," the Dutchman told the Fulham Chronicle.

"They might be a dark horse and if other big teams stumble where you don't expect them to and they can carry the momentum into April, you never know."

Fulham head into their match against Liverpool on the back of Sunday's 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
