Adam Lallana: Philippe Coutinho is a "little magician"

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has hailed the natural ability of "little magician" Philippe Coutinho as "frightening".

The Brazil playmaker has played a key role in the upturn in fortunes for the Reds over the past couple of months and saw his fine form rewarded with a new contract earlier this week.

Lallana told the club's official website: "The little magician, as people call him, has been outstanding. I was injured for a couple of weeks and got to watch him from the stand.

"His natural ability is frightening and it's great to see. It's great to be on the pitch with players like that. He'll keep providing for the likes of Raheem Sterling and now Daniel Sturridge is back.

"I'm sure they're really excited, because he's at the top of his game and he's always going to be a match-winning player for us."
