Jurgen Klopp talks up "unbelievable" Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain potential

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can still improve plenty of aspects of his game, but expects the midfielder to live up to his price tag.

Jurgen Klopp has admitted to being excited by the "unbelievable" potential being shown by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain since arriving at Liverpool.

Many questioned the versatile midfielder's price tag when making the £35m switch from Arsenal in the summer, particularly after Klopp regularly overlooked him for selection.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has since grown into his various roles, however, including in a more central position against Bournemouth last time out when collecting the Man of the Match award following the 4-0 win.

Speaking to Liverpool's official website, Klopp said: "He is in a very good way. I like it, but he has so much potential it's unbelievable, what he still not shows. It's only just the beginning and I really like it, I really like it. He's like a wonderful package, I can only say.

"Hopefully he stays fit, that's the most important thing. He can be much more decisive in a few moments. [He's sometimes a] little bit too much of a midfielder instead of a striker - there are a lot of things he can improve, but I'm really happy about the status quo."

Oxlade-Chamberlain has two assists and a goal in 15 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, five of which have been starts.
