Simon Kjaer: 'Divock Origi can be truly great for Liverpool'

Simon Kjaer claims that Divock Origi has the potential to become a "truly great player" when he returns to Liverpool next summer.

Lille defender Simon Kjaer has claimed that Divock Origi has the potential to become a truly great player for Liverpool in the future.

Liverpool completed the signing of Origi in the summer before immediately loaning him back to Lille for the season, and Kjaer is expecting the Belgian to have a big impact at Anfield when he does finish his spell in France.

"He could be a truly great player for Liverpool," the Dane is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "He has got great potential and could become one of the best players in his position.

"Origi is one of the greatest talents I have ever played with in Italy, Germany or France. I have no doubt about his potential.

"He's still very young and it was a clever move to let him mature one more season with Lille, but he's got the complete package - physically, technically and great speed."

Origi has scored four goals in 15 appearances for Lille this season.
