NBA basketball star and Liverpool minority shareholder Lebron James has admitted that it is a "difficult time" for the Reds.
Liverpool finished in eighth position in the Premier League last season, and the Miami Heat forward has suggested that the club will struggle to close the gap at the top of the table.
"It's a difficult for the club right now. Liverpool are a team in a period of transition at the moment, so I don't know what they can achieve," he told the Daily Mail.
James became a minority shareholder of Liverpool in April 2011.
