Dalglish won't give up on fourth

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has said that the Reds are still fighting for fourth, despite being 12 points adrift of Tottenham Hotspur.

The Merseyside club drew further away from a coveted Champions League spot in the Premier League table following a 3-2 defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.

When asked by Sky Sports News if it makes sense to play inexperienced players now fourth place was out of the question, the Scotsman replied: "If you assume fourth place has gone then it would be, yeah.

"So you're assuming it's gone, we haven't. We'll just keep going as we said before. We'll keep playing every game and we'll try and get as much as we possibly can from every game that we're in. If we have to play the kids, then we'll play the kids, that's not a problem."

Liverpool plan to face Wigan Athletic at Anfield this Saturday.
