Kenny Dalglish rejects off-field distractions

Kenny Dalglish says that the controversy surrounding Luis Suarez doesn't take precedence over Liverpool's focus on the QPR match tomorrow.

Kenny Dalglish has refuted suggestions that his Liverpool team will be affected by the Reds' off-field problems heading into their Premier League clash against Queens Park Rangers tomorrow.

The Merseyside club have been in the headlines this week following the Football Association's decision to charge striker Luis Suarez with improper conduct.

The Uruguayan international allegedly made a finger gesture towards Fulham fans during Liverpool's 1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage on Monday.

"[The furore against Fulham] has only distracted me because I've got to answer questions about it," The Mirror quotes Dalglish as saying.

"It is a distraction which has to be covered but it should never take precedence over what we are trying to do on the pitch and the training ground.

"We will do what we always do and that is our best as well as we can and see if we can get a bit of luck going our way."

Reds midfielder Jay Spearing will miss the match against QPR at Anfield after receiving a red card in London earlier this week.
