Liverpool's Joe Cole admits that he is unsure where he will be playing football next season.

Joe Cole has said that he is unsure where he will playing his football next season.

The Englishman is currently on a season-long loan from Liverpool at French champions Lille and has made a big impression across the channel, scoring a hat-trick in the recent Coupe de France win over US Chantilly.

Speaking to French publication L'Equipe, Cole said: "It is still a little difficult for me to talk about my future. What I want? I don't wish to talk about it now, because it is not that simple.

"I am really very happy here and my family too. But up to now I have not talked with Liverpool."

Despite his apparent happiness, Cole admitted that he sometimes struggles with the language and misses the dressing room fun of England.

"Do I miss English football? I don't know," added the 30-year-old. "The only thing I miss is the dressing room.

"I can't understand all the jokes and that is frustrating. French is more difficult than I thought. But I try to be very serious with my lessons."

Cole also spoke of the friendliness the French media have with players and teams and said it is an example that England should follow.

"I like the atmosphere in Ligue 1, the closeness between TV and players," he said.

"The interviews before, in the middle and after the match are very friendly. The Premier League should get inspired by that."

The winger is contracted to Liverpool until 2014.
