Andy Carroll storms down tunnel

Liverpool striker Andy Carroll headed straight down the tunnel after he was substituted against his former club Newcastle United this afternoon.

Manager Kenny Dalglish decided to replace his £35m signing with Dirk Kuyt in the 78th minute at the Sports Direct Arena.

Carroll responded by heading straight down the tunnel without acknowledging his manager.

It rounded off a negative afternoon for the 23-year-old, who was booked earlier in the match by referee Martin Atkinson for diving inside the penalty area.
