Emre Can latest player to pull out of Germany squad

Germany manager Joachim Low plans to rotate his side for the game against Brazil after losing Emre Can, Thomas Muller and Mesut Ozil to minor problems.

Germany will be without Liverpool midfielder Emre Can for their prestige friendly against Brazil on Tuesday night because of an ongoing back problem.

The 24-year-old, whose future remains up in the air heading into the final weeks of his Anfield contract, has been sent back to his club side to receive further treatment.

Can's withdrawal comes on the back of the World Cup holders losing Mesut Ozil and Thomas Muller, with neither player travelling with the squad back to Berlin for the game at the Olympiastadion.

Manager Joachim Low is planning to rotate his side for the match, telling reporters after Friday's 1-1 draw with Spain: "I intend to select Marvin Plattenhardt. I think Ilkay Gundogan will start as well as Leroy Sane. Of course, I can make substitutions during the game."

Sebastian Rudy has joined up with the rest of his teammates, meanwhile, after missing out against Spain due to the birth of his son.
