Richard Bevan: Brendan Rodgers is a "superb role model"

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is hailed as a "superb role model" by the chief executive of the League Managers' Association Richard Bevan.

The chief executive of the League Managers' Association Richard Bevan has hailed Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers as a "superb role model" for other coaches.

The Northern Irishman scooped the LMA Manager of the Year award on Monday night after guiding the Reds to a second-place finish in the Premier League.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Bevan said: "Brendan Rodgers is a superb role model to all aspiring managers and coaches as, despite being only 41, he already has over 20 years of coaching experience from academy, to reserve and then to first-team football.

"I am sure he will continue to build on his success with Liverpool this season in years to come."

The five-time European Cup winners finished their season with a 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Sunday.
