Rodgers crowned LMA Manager of the Year

Brendan Rodgers has been voted Manager of the Year by the League Managers' Association.

The Northern Irishman led Liverpool to within touching distance of the Premier League title this season, following the club's seventh-placed finish 12 months ago.

Tony Pulis, who was voted as Premier League Manager of the Year earlier in the night due to his work at Crystal Palace since taking over in November, finished runner-up for the accolade at the ceremony in London.

Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez took third spot for having taken Everton to the brink of the Champions League, but Manuel Pellegrini was overlooked despite winning a Premier League and Carling Cup double this season.
