Bellamy: 'Cardiff meeting will be strange'

Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy has stated that he "won't celebrate" if he scores against Cardiff in the Carling Cup final on Sunday afternoon.

Bellamy, 32, spent last season on loan at his hometown club, and has admitted that he has close family ties with the Welsh side.

"I certainly won't celebrate. I have no aspirations towards celebrating at all. It will be a strange situation as it's the first time I've ever played against them," Bellamy told The Mirror.

"It's not something I'm looking forward to doing, to be honest. My father's a big Cardiff fan and it's the club I used to go to when I was very young."

Bellamy has 67 Welsh caps to his name.
