Real Madrid to rival Manchester United, Liverpool for Yves Bissouma?

Real Madrid could reportedly battle Manchester United and Liverpool for the signature of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma during the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old's form this season is believed to have attracted the attention of Liverpool, with the Reds thought to be considering launching a bid at the start of 2021.

United have also been credited with an interest in the Mali international, but according to Defensa Central, the midfielder's recent performances have drawn admiring glances from the Spanish capital.

The report claims that Zinedine Zidane's side have identified Bissouma as a cheaper alternative to the likes of Manchester United's Paul Pogba and Rennes youngster Eduardo Camavinga.

The former Lille midfielder, who has a contract at the Amex until the summer of 2023, is thought to be valued by Brighton in the region of £30m.

Bissouma has contributed one goal in 12 Premier League appearances for Graham Potter's side this term.

Jurgen Klopp tight-lipped on Mohamed Salah future

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has insisted that there is no issue with Mohamed Salah despite the Egyptian seemingly opening the door to a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Salah refused to rule out a switch to Spain when questioned on his future, while the attacker also admitted that he was "very disappointed" not to be handed the captain's armband about FC Midtjylland in the Champions League earlier this month.

The 28-year-old was named on the bench for Saturday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace but came on to score twice in his team's 7-0 win.

After the match at Selhurst Park, Klopp revealed that he had taken the opportunity to rest Salah and insisted that he has no issues with the attacker's recent interview.

"First time for a while we had opportunity [to change]," Klopp told reporters. "Mo played last 4 games in an intense period. Bringing him for the last half was a good idea, so that is it.

"I have nothing to say [about the AS interview]. All fine from my side."

Salah - contracted to the Premier League champions until June 2023 - has scored 16 times in 21 appearances for the Reds this season, including 13 goals in 13 Premier League outings.
