Hello, and welcome to Sports Mole live coverage of the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Hull City.

The Liverpool supporters have been starved of action at Anfield this season with this afternoon's contest with Hull representing just their second game in front of their home fans since the start of the campaign. However, the Reds have been rampant in their fixtures on the road and today, they have an opportunity to increase the likelihood of a Premier League title challenge against a team who have lost a little bit of momentum since winning their first two matches of the season.

Hull caretaker boss Mike Phelan will still be delighted with their start of the season on the basis that their only defeats have come against Manchester United and Arsenal but after conceding four goals to the Gunners last weekend, they need to avoid lightning striking twice on their trip to the North-West.

Before we take a look at the two teams, let me point you in the direction of our live coverage of the match between Manchester United and Leicester City which is currently taking place at Old Trafford. Anyway, without further ado, let's take a look at the two starting lineups at Anfield. Some interesting news coming right up...

I'm sure that you have already noticed but the big team news coming out of the home changing room is the inclusion of Loris Karius, who is given the chance to make his Premier League debut after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the opening weeks of the season. He made his debut against Derby County in the EFL Cup but this is his first time appearing at Anfield and in a league fixture. Ragnar Klavan and Roberto Firmino also start, with Dejan Lovren missing out because of a viral infection and Daniel Sturridge dropping down to the substitutes' bench.

There are two changes to the Hull team which started the 4-1 defeat to Arsenal. In comes David Marshall who replaces Eldin Jakupovic in goal while Ryan Mason is brought in to the midfield to replace David Meyler. The likes of Dieumerci Mbokani and Markus Henriksen must wait for their first start in the Premier League, despite their contributions over the last week.

RESULT! The full-time whistle has gone at Old Trafford and Manchester United have comfortably held on for a 4-1 victory over Leicester City. Blip? What blip? Read our on-the-whistle report by clicking here.

The win for United and subsequent defeat for Leicester has resulted in changes in the Premier League table. With United moving up to third, Liverpool had dropped down to seventh place while Hull now sit in 11th position due to Leicester's goal difference taking a bit of a battering.

HEAD TO HEAD! There have been just 20 previous meetings between the two sides and it will come as no surprise to you that Liverpool have won the majority of them. The Merseyside giants have 13 victories to their name while Hull have claimed just two triumphs. However, I will try to put a positive spin on it for all you Hull supporters. You have only lost one of your last four games against Liverpool, with two wins coming at the KC Stadium.

Hull's last visit to Anfield also resulted in an impressive result for the Tigers. In October 2014, they held Liverpool to a goalless draw to continue a solid set of results during that time. However, Hull recorded just two points from their following eight fixtures and were relegated at the end of the campaign.

Liverpool are yet to see the best of Daniel Sturridge this season but that hasn't stopped Jurgen Klopp's side from posing a constant threat in the final third. In seven games in all competitions, Liverpool have found the back of the net on 19 occasions and given the amount of chances they are creating, there will probably be a tinge of disappointment with that figure. With the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana, Saido Mane and Roberto Firmino all working in tandem this afternoon, there's a good chance of that ratio being maintained, or even extended...

Hull have only scored more than two goals a game on one occasion this season - away at Exeter City in the EFL Cup - but the only fixture that they have failed to score in is the home encounter with Manchester United. There is every chance that they will spend much of today's game in their own half but don't be surprised to see the Tigers cause a few scares in the opposition penalty area.

PREDICTION! We may be doing Hull a disservice here but we can't see anything other than a big Liverpool win here. The Tigers are capable of causing another surprise but if the home side play to their full capabilities, there is only going to be one winner. Liverpool to win 4-0.

It's time for the two teams to make their way out at Anfield. The new stand at Anfield is still an incredible sight. Expect another crowd of 54,000 for this game.

We are underway at Anfield.

It's been a relatively quiet start at Anfield. Liverpool have had the better of possession but Hull have showed their ambition to get men forward. The Tigers are looking to get their attacking players running into the channels.

CHANCE! Liverpool should be ahead. An outswinging corner finds the head of Matip but under no pressure whatsoever, he sends his effort over the crossbar from six yards. He will be desperately disappointed with that.

BOOKING! Huddlestone is the first man to enter the referee's notebook this afternoon for a high challenge on Henderson. He can have no complaints.

Hull are starting to struggle a bit now. Moments after Henderson saw a volley go wide of the post from outside the area, a Hull defender was forced to clear the ball off the line. The Tigers need to come through this rocky period because the home side are building a head of steam.

Phelan is up off his seat and trying to reorganise his team. It has quickly turned into a game of attack versus defence and that's not going to work for Hull. Wijnaldum and Henderson are getting so much space in the middle of the park.

It was coming. Liverpool score another fantastically-worked team goal through Lallana, who scuffed the ball into the bottom corner after a great pass inside from Coutinho. It was Milner who started the move off from the left flank. He is proving to be a revelation at full-back.

BOOKING! After that praise for Milner, he has gone into the book for a foul on Snodgrass but this is still very much one-way traffic. It looks a case of how many will Liverpool score rather than can Hull get anything from this match.

Another brilliant move ends with Milner trying to get on the end of a Lallana cross but he is denied a chance to head on goal by a last-gasp intervention. The resulting corner comes to nothing but the Reds continue to press.

On the rare occasions when Liverpool lose the ball, they are swarming the Hull defence and midfield to win it back. The Tigers have little option but to concede possession or boot it up-field and hope Hernandez can latch onto it.

This could get ugly. Just like last weekend, Hull have a play sent off for handling the ball on the line. This time, it's Elmohamady who is dismissed after stopping a certain goal for Coutinho. It's Milner who converts the ball into the bottom corner.

WOODWORK! Liverpool are queuing up now. After the ball is worked to the edge of the area, Mane cuts inside the defender because getting a deflected shot in on goal. Marshall is beaten but the ball ricochets off the crossbar and goes behind for a corner.

SHOT! If Liverpool don't score five or six this afternoon, I will be very surprised. It's Wijnaldum's turn to get a shot away but his 25-yard strike is tipped away by Marshall.

You will get very short odds for five or six goals now. Mane gets on the scoresheet with a terrific finish on the turn after receiving the ball from Lallana. Marshall had little chance of preventing the ball from finding the bottom corner.

More problems for Hull here with Snodgrass looking like he may have to be substituted with a calf injury. He attempted to turn in the middle of the pitch but he immediately pulled up. He is carrying on for now but don't expect Phelan to take any risks.

The pace of the game has subsided somewhat now. Liverpool seem perfectly content to settle for 3-0 at the break and Hull have no interest in chasing down the ball.

SHOT! Hull will be very relieved to survive another chance for the home side. The visitors backed off as Coutinho powered towards the penalty area but his low drive was straight into the hands of Marshall.

Hull survive again as Milner sends a ball across goal that just misses the far post and Henderson curls over from 20 yards. There will be three minutes of added-on time.

The half-time whistle goes at Anfield and Liverpool are all but home and hosed in this game. They've been fantastic and 10-man Hull will count themselves fortunate to only be three goals down. Expect more of the same in the second half...

We are back underway. Harry Maguire is on for Huddlestone.

Hull are now lining up with a back five but like in the first half, they are only inviting pressure from Liverpool. The home side are currently biding their time but they look ready to strike...

Liverpool have just had a penalty appeal but it would have been very harsh on Hull. Firmino threw himself to the ground after the slightest of tugs from Maguire but the referee rightly said no.

Moments after Liverpool left the door ajar, they slammed it back shut.

Meyler had reduced the deficit with a well-struck half-volley into the bottom corner from eight yards after Liverpool had failed to deal with a corner but less than a minute later, Coutinho scored one of the goals of the season with an outstanding strike from almost 30 yards which found the top corner. Game over.

Liverpool look riled after conceding that goal. It came completely out of the blue but they want to end this game with as many goals as possible rather than resting on that fourth goal. Mane just tried his luck from distance but his effort was easily saved by Marshall.

CHANCE! Wijnaldum must feel left out having not opened his Anfield account yet and he won't have many better chances. The ball fell to him after Hull failed to deal with a corner but his volley lacked pace and found the hands of Marshall.

As we move through the hour mark, Davies mis-times a challenge and brings down Mane. This is in a dangerous position.

For whatever reason, Liverpool tried to lay the ball off to Coutinho and his attempted shot was easily blocked.

Hull win another corner - we know what happened from the last one. It's another decent delivery but Liverpool do well to clear. Hull win a throw-in in the far corner but it comes to nothing.

SUBSTITUTION! It's time for Liverpool to make their first alteration with Lallana being replaced by Daniel Sturridge. He will be keen to get in on the act as we enter the final quarter.

Two minutes after coming on and Sturridge has earned his side a penalty, although there doesn't appear to be much contact from Robertson. The referee waves his appeals away and Milner finds the corner with a carbon-copy of his earlier spot kick.

SUBSTITUTIONS! Two changes from Liverpool as Henderson and Coutinho make way for Can and Grujic. As for Hull, Henriksen is on for Mason.

To Hull's credit, they are still trying to get men forward but they would probably be best for seeing the remainder of the game out. Liverpool are still hungry for more goals.

SHOT! Hull win a free kick around 30 yards from goal and Snodgrass has no other thought but to get a shot on goal. He tries to replicate his effort from against Burnley but on this occasion, his effort goes over the crossbar.

Just five minutes to go at Anfield. The game is petering out to an extent but Klopp is urging his players forward for a sixth. Sturridge almost had an opening but he was snuffed out by the defender.

A crowd of 52,109 has just been announced for this game. I was expecting a few more but I supposed it will take time.

There will be two minutes of added-on time.

The full-time whistle goes at Anfield and Liverpool have settled for a 5-1 win over Hull City. It could have been a few more but it's another result that further strengthens their bid towards the top of the table. Liverpool now sit in third.
