Georginio Wijnaldum could miss Liverpool's crunch Premier League clash with rivals Manchester United due to a hamstring injury picked up on international duty.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is an injury doubt for Liverpool's meeting with Manchester United next week after picking up a knock on international duty.

The 25-year-old limped out of the Netherlands' 1-0 defeat to France on Monday with an apparent hamstring injury, which the Reds will closely monitor in the coming days.

Wijnaldum received treatment on the field at the Amsterdam ArenA but was deemed unfit to continue, with Sporting Lisbon forward Bas Dost being summoned in his place for the remainder.

Liverpool, who sit fourth in the Premier League table, play host to rivals Man United at Anfield next Monday.
