Everton team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole rounds up Everton's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Monday night's Merseyside derby against champions-elect Liverpool at Goodison Park.

Everton welcome local rivals Liverpool to Goodison Park for the 287th Merseyside derby on Monday night looking to delay their neighbours' inevitable title celebrations.

There is a chance that victory for Liverpool could see them crowned champions for the first time in 30 years at the home of one of their greatest rivals, should Manchester City lose to Burnley earlier in the weekend.

The Toffees will be desperate to avoid that fate, but they have failed to win any of their last 21 derby meetings in a drought which stretches back almost a full decade.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Carlo Ancelotti's side ahead of the showdown.

Bernard

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: March 16 (vs. Liverpool)

Bernard was forced off at half time of last weekend's 4-0 loss to Chelsea, having sustained a knee injury in the dying stages of the first half. The severity of the injury is yet to be revealed, but the diminutive winger looks almost certain to miss Monday's derby.

Fabian Delph

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: March 16 (vs. Liverpool)

Fabian Delph missed the defeat to Chelsea due to illness, but he is expected to have fully recovered in time for Liverpool's visit and should be available to Ancelotti.

Seamus Coleman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Seamus Coleman could miss up to six weeks after suffering a thigh injury against Manchester United at the beginning of this month, forcing him off before the half-hour mark in that game.

Cenk Tosun

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Cenk Tosun has now returned to Everton after suffering an ACL injury while on loan at Crystal Palace, but the Turkish striker will not feature again this season.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: April 11 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Jean-Philippe Gbamin has suffered a nightmare first season at Everton, with injuries limiting him to only two appearances across all competitions. The latest problem is a thigh injury which required surgery, but Ancelotti is hopeful of having the midfielder back available before the end of the season.

Morgan Schneiderlin

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Morgan Schneiderlin was forced to undergo surgery on his knee injury last month and is now set to miss the vast majority - if not all - of the rest of the campaign.

EVERTON'S SUSPENSION LIST

Everton have no players suspended ahead of the derby.
