Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah's record vs. Manchester United

Liverpool make the trip to face Manchester United on Sunday afternoon looking to return to the top of the Premier League standings.

Manchester City currently sit in first place on goal difference but having played one more fixture, and Pep Guardiola's men do not compete in the league this weekend due to the EFL Cup final with Chelsea.

Liverpool warmed up for this showdown with a goalless draw against Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday night.

Ahead of this weekend's meeting, Sports Mole assesses how Mohamed Salah has fared in his previous outings against United.

Salah may have established himself as Liverpool's key man since arriving at Anfield, but the attacker is yet to make much of a contribution against United.

The Egypt international has played a total of 258 minutes of football against United without registering a goal or assist.

Liverpool have also only recorded four points from a possible nine in Premier League games which have featured Salah.

The winger failed to get off the bench when named in Chelsea's 18-man squad for a game at Old Trafford in 2014.
