Brendan Rodgers: 'Wembley shouldn't host FA Cup semi-finals'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that Wembley Stadium shouldn't play host to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that the FA Cup semi-finals should be staged away from Wembley Stadium.

The National Stadium has been the setting for last-four ties since 2008, but as his team attempt to reach that stage of the competition against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday, Rodgers believes that Wembley should only be used to host the final.

The 42-year-old told reporters: "In many ways, I wish semi-finals weren't at Wembley as I think it takes something away from it. Wembley should be just for the final."

Liverpool are bidding to win the FA Cup for the first time since 2006.
