Jamie Carragher: Liverpool, Everton have even FA Cup semi-final chances

Jamie Carragher thinks that the winner of the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Everton is too close to call.

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes that the Reds and Everton will head into the FA Cup semi-final as equal opponents, despite Kenny Dalglish's side being the bookies' favourite to reach the final.

The Merseyside opponents face off at Wembley for the first time in 23 years but Carragher believes that Everton's recent surge in the Premier League will be a threat to Liverpool.

"Everton are doing well at the moment," Carragher told Sky Sports News. "We had a great win at Blackburn, on the back of some not great form, but in that run of bad form we had a great win over Everton. So it is evenly balanced."

The Toffees head into the fixture on the back of a 4-0 win over Sunderland, while the Reds travel to London following just one win in their last five games.
