Liverpool midfielder Emre Can says that his side are dreaming of winning the Champions League this season after securing their place in the quarter-finals.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has admitted that his side are dreaming of Champions League glory this season.

Jurgen Klopp's side thrashed Porto 5-0 on aggregate to reach the quarter-finals of the competition, with all of their goals coming in the away first leg.

The Reds could now face Roma, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Sevilla or Real Madrid in the last eight, and Can insists that he would be happy to come up against any of the teams remaining in the competition when the draw takes place on Friday.

"I'm very much looking forward to finding out who we play. It's very exciting," Can told the club's official website.

"There are just strong teams and that's why I don't care. I don't mind who comes. It will be interesting. We don't go anywhere and say 'Okay, now we will see what happens'. Of course we want to win the games.

"We are in the quarter-finals and of course we have to play from game to game, but we dream a little bit of winning the Champions League."

Liverpool last won the Champions League in the 2004-05 season, beating AC Milan on penalties following a 3-3 draw after extra time.
