Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. AC Milan

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with AC Milan.

In a repeat of the 2005 and 2007 Champions League finals, Liverpool kick off their 2021-22 edition with a home clash against AC Milan on Wednesday night in Group B.

The six-time European champions could only muster a quarter-final finish last term as they fell to Real Madrid's superiority, but Jurgen Klopp's side have started as they mean to go on this term.

Liverpool enter Wednesday's game on the back of a 3-0 success over Leeds United in the Premier League, although the victory was marred by a horrific injury to one of Klopp's men.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Roberto Firmino

Possible return date: Unknown

Roberto Firmino would have been cleared to play against Leeds after the FIFA-imposed ban on Brazilian players was waived, but the forward is nursing a hamstring problem and is set to remain sidelined for a little while longer.

Harvey Elliott
