Tuesday's Champions League predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Champions League fixtures, including Bayern Munich vs. Barcelona.

Plzen vs. Inter Milan (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

Both beaten on the opening day of their Champions League campaign, Inter Milan and Czech champions Viktoria Plzen meet on Tuesday evening at Stadion mesta Plzne.

The pair will be aiming to get off the mark in a competitive Group C, which also features their respective first-day conquerors: Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

We say: Viktoria Plzen 1-1 Inter Milan

Since their late collapse at Lazio last month, Inter have struggled for fluency and are a shadow of the side which lifted the Scudetto just over a year ago. Clearly missing the presence of Lukaku, they may find it tough to break down a capable Plzen team that can cause damage on the break.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Spurs (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

Sporting Lisbon and Tottenham Hotspur will both be out to continue their winning starts to the 2022-23 Champions League when they do battle at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Tuesday's Group D battle.

Ruben Amorim's men eased past Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 last week, while the North London giants defeated a 10-man Marseille side 2-0.

We say: Sporting Lisbon 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Sporting have certainly recovered from their slow start to the season in the manner that Amorim would have wanted, but a host of fresh defensive concerns will threaten their hopes of a fourth-straight victory and shut-out.

The Lions should still experience some joy on the attacking front - Edwards in particular needs no added motivation to keep up his hot streak - but Tottenham can hit back against a depleted Sporting backline to record a second-straight European win.

Liverpool vs. Ajax (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Two sides on opposite ends of multiple-goal showdowns last week do battle in Tuesday's Champions League Group A contest at Anfield, as Liverpool play host to Ajax.

Jurgen Klopp's side were ripped to shreds 4-1 by Napoli on matchday one, while Alfred Schreuder's side hit Rangers for four without reply.

We say: Liverpool 2-2 Ajax

Liverpool's extra period of rest may work in their favour fitness-wise, especially when it comes to the likes of Thiago and Arthur Melo, but Klopp would have surely wanted the opportunity to gain an injection of confidence before the visit of an Ajax side who only know how to win.

The Reds' lacklustre rearguard cannot expect to keep a rampant Ajax attack at bay, but a refreshed Liverpool front line can turn up the heat at the Anfield fortress to rescue a point for the under-performing hosts.

Porto vs. Brugge (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Porto host Club Brugge in Group B of the Champions League on Tuesday, with the hosts looking to bounce back from their dramatic defeat to Atletico Madrid last week.

Brugge, meanwhile, secured a 1-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

We say: Porto 2-1 Club Brugge

Brugge have the capabilities to push Porto all of the way on Tuesday, but we expect the hosts to get the job done with a marginal victory.

Both teams are missing a couple of key players but it should still be an interesting game nonetheless.

B. Leverkusen vs. Atletico (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Atletico Madrid will be bidding to make it successive victories at the start of their 2022-23 Champions League campaign when they take on Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday night.

Diego Simeone's side were 2-1 winners over Porto in their opening Group B fixture, while Leverkusen suffered a 1-0 defeat to Club Brugge in their first match in the section.

We say: Bayer Leverkusen 1-2 Atletico Madrid

Leverkusen are more than capable of making this a difficult match for Atletico, and it would certainly not be a surprise to see a home victory or a draw. Atletico are in good form at the moment, though, and we are backing Simeone's side to secure all three points.

Bayern vs. Barcelona (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Two of the biggest clubs in European football will lock horns in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, with Bayern Munich hosting Barcelona in Group C.

Bayern opened their section with a 2-0 victory at Inter Milan last Wednesday, while Barcelona were 5-1 winners over Viktoria Plzen at Camp Nou in their first game of the 2022-23 competition.

We say: Bayern Munich 1-1 Barcelona

Barcelona are flying at the moment, but it is very, very difficult to back against Bayern in Munich, so we have had to settle on a low-scoring draw here. It would certainly not be a surprise to see a home victory, but we believe that a tight match between two strong sides will finish all square.

Marseille vs. Frankfurt (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Marseille entertain Eintracht Frankfurt in Group D of the Champions League on Tuesday, with both sides looking to bounce back from defeats on matchday one.

Marseille were beaten 2-0 away to Tottenham Hotspur, while Frankfurt lost 3-0 at home to Sporting Lisbon.

We say: Marseille 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

The hosts are on an excellent winning streak in Ligue 1 and we can envisage them getting their Champions League campaign up and running with a win here.

Frankfurt remain an incredibly inconsistent side, with injuries disrupting their balance at present, and they may struggle to impose themselves away from home.
