Newcastle United told £8m for Florian Thauvin?

Lille have reportedly told Newcastle United that Florian Thauvin will cost £8m.

The Magpies have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old this summer, and the Ligue 1 side have quoted the figure that would see them enter into discussions to Newcastle, according to the Daily Mail.

Lille president Michel Seydoux had earlier claimed that Thauvin was not for sale, but it now appears that the French side are willing to do business if their asking price is met.

Thauvin was part of the France side that won the Under-20 World Cup earlier this summer.
