Leicester City winger Jeffrey Schlupp has revealed that he is preparing himself for his side's tough start to the new Premier League campaign.
The 22-year-old played an integral part in the Foxes' push to safety last season after they spent the majority of the year in the bottom three.
Schlupp has admitted that he needed time out of the game to refresh his mind and body, but is now ready to gradually raise the level of his game ahead of the new season.
He told the club's official website: "It's been good. I had some extra football straight after because I was away with Ghana, but I managed to get away after that and spend some time with the family, which is what you need after a long season.
"I feel like the batteries are recharged now and I'm ready to go for the new season. There are some tough games at the start, but you can't complain too much given the start we had last season.
"You know you're going to have to play everyone twice and teams will go through good form and bad form, so you've just got to take one game at a time and make sure we're ready on August 8."
Schlupp signed a new four-year deal with the Foxes last month.
