Claudio Ranieri eager to maintain unbeaten Leicester City run

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri challenges his players to keep their unbeaten run going for as long as possible.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has admitted that it is important for his side to pick up as many points as possible during the early stages of the season.

The Foxes maintained their unbeaten start to the new Premier League campaign on Saturday by fighting back to a draw 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur.

Ranieri believes that Leicester must continue their run for as long as possible because "bad moments will arrive" during the course of the season.

"It's very important to be unbeaten and to achieve points at this moment because bad moments will arrive. If you have a lot of points, it's much better," the Italian told the club's official website.

"You can stay calm and think what is wrong and right. Now everything is okay and I look at all the things that aren't good. I speak with my players and show them all the things that are not so good and it's important they understand."

Leicester are in League Cup action this evening when they travel to Bury in the second round.
