Nigel Pearson in talks to extend Leicester City deal

Pearson in talks to extend Leicester deal

Leicester City vice chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has revealed that he is keen for manager Nigel Pearson to sign a new contract with the newly-promoted outfit.

The Foxes have won the Championship title to earn a place in the Premier League, and with Pearson's deal expiring in the summer, Srivaddhanaprabha has admitted that he is eager to keep the 50-year-old at the club.

Srivaddhanaprabha told BBC East Midlands Today: "Contract negotiations are ongoing. There will be more information soon.

"I prefer him to stay. He did a good job and is a good manager."

Leicester will achieve 100 points if they secure at least a draw in their final fixture of the season against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
