Lennon: 'Leicester return could tempt O'Neill'

Celtic manager Neil Lennon believes that Martin O'Neill would find it difficult to refuse a return to Leicester City.

O'Neill, who managed the Foxes for five years up until 2000, has been installed as the bookmakers' favourite to take the job following last night's sacking of Sven-Goran Eriksson.

Lennon, who played under O'Neill at Leicester and Celtic, has claimed that a move back to the King Power Stadium would be "very tempting" for his former mentor.

"It would be great to see him back in the game, first of all," Lennon told a press conference.

"One of his old adages was that you never go back, but I think it is very, very tempting for him."

A number of other managers, including Mark Hughes and Roy Keane, have been linked with the vacancy.
