Sam Byram completes West Ham switch

Leeds United full-back Sam Byram has finalised his move to West Ham United for an undisclosed fee.

The Premier League club's co-owner David Sullivan confirmed yesterday afternoon that a deal had been reached with both the 22-year-old and his Championship employers.

The transfer has now been completed, with the defender having signed a four-and-a-half year contract at Upton Park.

"I'm unbelievably proud and happy to join a club as big as this. I'm just looking forward to what the future holds and hopefully I can achieve things with the team going forward," he told the club's official website.

"It's a childhood dream of mine to play in the Premier League, so to have the chance to get into a team like this and I just want to get my head down, work hard and hopefully get a chance."

Byram, who scored 10 goals from his 143 appearances for Leeds, will wear the No.22 shirt.
