Leeds fail with bid for Poznan winger

Leeds United have failed with an attempt to sign winger Kamil Jozwiak from Lech Poznan.

After five defeats in six Championship games, Leeds now sit in 10th place in the standings and it appears that head coach Thomas Christiansen is already assessing new targets ahead of the January transfer window.

However, Leeds will not be signing highly-rated Jozwiak after seeing a bid of £180,000 turned down by Poznan, with president Karol Klimczak stating that the wideman will not leave this season.

Klimczak is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "I can confirm that we got this offer [from Leeds], but I firmly believe that we are not interested in parting with Kamil in the winter."

The Poland Under-19 international has already made 19 league outings for his current club, who sit in fifth place in the top-flight standings.
