Diouf wants new Leeds deal

Leeds United forward El-Hadji Diouf is hoping to secure a new deal at Elland Road.

The 31-year-old is keen to stay at the club beyond January when his contract expires.

The Senegal international could leave the club on a free, though Leeds also want him to stay. Diouf has impressed in his short spell at the Yorkshire club, scoring five times in 22 appearances. His agent, Willie McKay has revealed that they have opened talks regarding a new contract.

He told the Daily Mail: "We have spoken to the chief executive Shaun Harvey and we hope to have something sorted soon."

Diouf was previously at Doncaster Rovers before joining Leeds.
